Craving of the week!!!

Well... hopefully this post makes it on my blog.. Yesterday Landon dropped a whole cup of water on the computer and it no longer works...... so I'm doing this on my phone.. Here we go!

You would probably think that since it is the week of Easter a pregnant woman would probably be craving a chocolate bunny, creme filled eggs, peeps, or any other chocolate candy. Nope!! Not this prego girl!! I have never been fond of getting any sort of chocolate in my Easter basket! Now sweedish fish on the other hand are my FAVORITE basket accomodation.... yummy!! But I haven't been craving those either...
This week my craving has turned into an obsession. I made a "special" trip to the grocery store to stock up on these... It is really healthy(another plus) besides the sodium being a little on the high side... oops!!!
Without furthur hesitation the winner of the yummy in my tummy award goes to........
Lean Cuisine's Butternut Squash Ravioli!!! Yummo!! All you have to do is pop it in the microwave for 5 minutes and you have a delicious and almost clean up free meal!!!
Happy Cravings everyone!!!

22 week baby appointment!!!

Today's baby appointment went GREAT!! Everything from Landon behaving (Thank you Lord) to being in and out of there in less than 20 minutes.... Here is a brief run down of everything that happened!!

Blood Pressure: 106/64- YES!!! We are over half way done and my blood pressure is still going strong... This time with both boys I was already having to get blood drawn once a week because of my blood pressure!!

Weight Gain: 1 pound up from the last visit 4 1/2 weeks ago.... I am really not sure how this happened because my scale shows almost 2 pounds more but hey, I will go with what the doctor's scale says.... This puts us at a little over 8 pounds thus far!!

Baby's heart rate: 145 and going strong. Little Miss even made herself known as the doctor was feeling my tummy!!

I did ask about the pain that had me on my knees this weekend and the doctor said it is more than likely ligament pain.. I hope that it is ligament pain and not gallbladder issues BUT I hope little miss has caused all the ligament pain that she wanted to because I can't take anymore of it.. The doctor said try not to be on your feet so much and don't lift things... Ummmm.. excuse me, I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old (both boys) How can you expect me to "take it easy?" Not going to happen  anytime soon!!!

Other than that everything looked great with Miss Livy and I go back in 4 weeks for my glucose screening..... Gross!! After that appointment I will be in my last trimester and I will  go to the doctor every 2 weeks.... Goodness..... the time is flying!!

Until next time..... Have a great week everyone!!

22 Weeks!!!!!

We are at the 5 1/2 month mark!!! Yippee!! I swear it seems like the weeks just keep getting busier and busier which makes them go by faster and faster!! This is a good thing AND a bad thing because I am SO ready for summer but I feel so unprepared for a 3rd baby!! Evan ( will be 4 tomorrow) is an angel for the most part.... but he has started to get into that "I don't care" stage and the "but I want to" stage and it is driving me crazy...... Landon (just turned 2) has ALWAYS been obnoxious and wants things his way ALL of the time... It is hard to go ANYWHERE with him because I'm always thinking, "What's going to happen this time?" I don't ever get peace and quiet anymore and I know when there is another baby in the mix that will NEVER happen... even in my sleep.... Aaahhhh!!!! Okay.... I feel a little better now!!
With that said, here is what has been going on in the past week!!

I have had a horrible pain on the left side of my chest under my rib cage... I mean to the point where Saturday night I cried for over an hour.... I got the pain Friday afternoon but it went away after about an hour and it wasn't really painful, just annoying.... but Saturday night I felt like I was dying.. It lasted a little over 2 hours.. I researched it yesterday and I think it is one of two things:
1-gallbladder issues- I hope not!!! If it is, there is pretty much nothing that can be done until this baby is born....
2-torn muscles in my abdomen- I'm not sure if this is what it is because wouldn't I have gotten this when I was pregnant with the boys??
I go to the doctor on Wednesday for my monthly check-up so I will try to get some answers then. Thank goodness I didn't have any pain yesterday and so far today it hasn't bothered me at all!!

On a lighter (not so really) note, the weight gain is up again 1.5 pounds this week... I have NO clue how... Really, I have been eating really good since about Thursday and even went for a long walk yesterday..... but the scale is still going up.... I think this puts me right at the 10 pound mark.. give or take an ounce...
I think Aaron has noticed the poundage go up too because in the last 48 hours he has called me the following three names (playing of course)
1- pork chop: I'm not sure how this one got brought up... probably because I don't eat meat and he thought he was being funny...
2-muffin: because I bought Evan's class cupcakes for his birthday and I told Aaron I refused to eat one... He then joked that I should eat a "muffin" instead since they are bigger....
3-bumble bee: because I am wearing yellow shorts today with a black and gray striped shirt

Had I gained 20 pounds by now I would probably be pissed by those comments, but I know I'm not fat and I know he is just joking so I joke back BECAUSE he has gained 7 pounds in the past 2 months and he isn't pregnant.... so HA!!! The jokes on you honey!!!

Here are a few pics from this week along with what little miss is up to!!
Have a great week everyone!! Oh, and in 11 more days I will be in SUNNY Florida!!! Woo Hoo!!

22 weeks!!

22 weeks belly!!

what she looks like this week!!

How your baby's growing:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

Craving of the week!!

Boy oh boy what a week it has been.... I didn't post a craving of the week last week because I was just too busy to even think about it....between birthday parties, family in town, baseball games, and decorating a nursery I was exhausted to say the least...
I knew I would eventually get to a point in this pregnancy where things would pick up and I would start eating more... I don't know if not eating any meat has anything to do with it (probably does) but this week I have not been able to eat enough.. It seems like I am in the pantry or the fridge every 10 minutes... What the heck??? If it looks remotely good I want to eat it.. It doesn't matter that I just ate dinner 10 minutes prior... Aahhhhh!!!!
So below are a small list (I am too embarrassed to list them all) of things that have been oh so yummy this week!! I have a feeling that the scale at the doctor's office next Wednesday is going to do nothing but piss me off but it is too late to do anything about it now... (well.. besides picking out the least weighing outfit to wear when I get on the scale AND taking off my flip flops... because we all know that by taking flip flops off when you get on the scale it reduces your weight dramatically!!!)
So get ready.. Here we go..... There are quite a few cravings this week!!

Craving number one: Pasta Salad... My mom made this for the boys' birthday party and I didn't get to eat a lof of it so I made some more yesterday!!! It is SOOOO good!!!

Craving number two: Doritos... This is a VERY strange one because before I was pregnant I hated doritos.. I don't like anything about them.. They stink and are way too cheesy for me... BUT... for some reason my mouth watered the other day when Aaron opened the bag and I just wanted to "taste" one... 1/4 of the bag gone later I decided to look at the nutritional value on the back and almost hit the floor.... Good grief those things are BAD for you.. I mean REALLY BAD for you!!!

Craving number three: Ruth's Lite Pominto Cheese: YUMMO!!! But you have to dip pretzels in it.. I have had the container for a little over a week and it is almost gone... Yeah... not so good I know...

Craving number four: Reduced Fat Wheat Thins: I have always liked these but I think it is now more of an obsession.... It is something about the crunch that makes me want to keep eating them... Atleast they are low fat right?!?!?!!? (I'm trying to make myself feel better!!)

Craving number five: (YES, there are five this week) Reduced fat vanilla wafers... I'm not sure why but I have had a sweet tooth also.... and this was the first thing I found in the pantry so I opened the box.... Now the box isn't so full anymore..

To my credit I haven't been eating all of this at the same time and I usually eat this rather than a meal (not so good to do) but hopefully next week will be a better week and I will learn to say NO to the pantry when I get the urge to walk in there every 5 seconds.. Until then I will just accept what the scale says and move on....

Happy Cravings everyone!!

21 weeks!!

I have hit a growth spurt!! I knew it would come sooner than later but I didn't think it would happen SO fast..... I went to bed Saturday night EXHAUSTED from a t-ball game, a birthday party, and having 20 people in my house all day..... and when I woke up Sunday morning my stomach informed me that I was indeed almost 5 1/2 months pregnant..... There is NO sucking in anymore and every time I lay down flat on my back my stomach looks more and more deformed from little miss squirming from side to side...
My step-dad came into town last week and I put him to work...(or should I say Olivia did!) He hung her chandelier (which is beautiful by the way) and redid her closet so that she could be a true princess!! He did an awesome job on it and it is exactly what I had pictured.... He is such an amazing dad and  I am so blessed that Olivia will have a Pop-Pop like him in her life!!!
Livy's closet before!
her closet after!
her chandelier!

My mom and Eddie (Paw-Paw) flew in on Friday to be here for the boys' birthday parties and I (Olivia) put them to work too... They painted her room (Poetic Princess Pink), helped me hang pictures, hang up a tree, hang up shelves, and decorate her room to the max.... I have to say that her room just makes me smile when I walk in it. There is just something about a little girls bedroom that makes you think back to when things were just so simple... I LOVE her room and everything about it..... (Thanks mom and Eddie!!)

mom painting her room!!
the butterflies hanging in her room... they are kind of hard to see..
her Olivia books...  I couldn't resist!!
the Princess corner....hehe!
the letters over her crib!!
her tree with the shelves up..  It is kind of hard to see in the picture too but it is SO cute!!

Now that her room is almost completely done, I have the hardest task ahead of me... I now have to wait another 4 months for her to be in it!!

In growing news, I am up 1.5 pounds this week bringing the total to a little over 8.5 pounds... ( I am sure the birthday cake, chips, soda, and loads and loads of dessert had absolutely NOTHING to do with my 1.5 pound increase... It was all baby!!! Ha!!

Here are a few pictures to enjoy along with what our little girl is up to this week!!
Have a great week!!

what little miss looks like this week!!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

20 weeks= halfway through!!

Wow.. We are officially halfway through with this pregnancy.. It is still hard to believe..Our precious little girl will be here before we know it and I am so anxious to meet her..

This past week we went in for another ultrasound because it didn't record on our dvd the first time.. I have to say that I was freaking out a little bit the day before the ultrasound because I just new that somehow her little girl parts were going to turn into little boy parts.... ( I don't know why I thought that but I was almost convinced.) But thank goodness her little girl parts are still little girl parts...

She moves ALL of the time now.. Aaron can pretty much feel her kick when I do now and this weekend I actually got a picture of her squished on the left side of my belly... It looks amazing!! It still amazes me that this precious life is growing at a constant rate in my belly.. Wow! God is great!!

All of her baby furniture has come in and all we have to do now is put her crib together.. We picked out her paint color yesterday. It is called Poetic Princess... It is a very light shade of pink... I didn't want anything bright because it would probably give me a headache... My mom is going to paint her room this weekend!! Yippee!! Most of the things that I have ordered online already should be in this week and my dad is going to hang her chandelier this week along with giving her the "perfect princess closet!!"

There is no weight gain from last week so we are still hanging out at the 7 pound mark however my stomach hurt all night last night and I am pretty sure that is was from her growing because it felt like my stomach was being stretched to pieces... (I wonder how I will feel in about 10 more weeks when she is really out of room?!?!)

How did I almost forget to mention that I have heartburn like CRAZY!!! It seems like it comes EVERY day several times a day... Tums are my new best friend and I pop them like crazy.. Evan even thinks that I am eating candy because I eat these things so much... All I have to say is that Little Miss better have a head full of hair for me to put bows in since she is making me hurt like a mad woman all the time!!

Here are a few pictures from this week along with what our little gal is up to this week!!!
Have a great week everyone!!

she was being sweet and waved at us!! She weighed in at around 11 ounces!!

20 weeks baby!!

How your baby's growing:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)
He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
