Baby Shower.... Pink, Pink, and more Pink!!!!

What an eventful weekend we had.... Friday was our doctor appointment/ultrasound and it happened to be my 5 year wedding anniversary so after my appointment my mom and Eddie took the boys to Fayetteville so Aaron and I could enjoy our anniversary... Cheesecake Factory it was because that is what Olivia wanted....
Saturday we were in Fayetteville because my soon to be sister in law was picking out her wedding dress... YAH!!! and bless her heart for preparing to put up with my brother for the rest of her life!!!
Saturday night I wanted something SO bad.... pretty much would have done anything to get it.. this may fall under the craving category but it is too important not to mention right now... For all of you Fayetteville/ Hope Mills people that no longer live there like myself.... where is the one place that you must go when you come into town? Yes, Mi Casitas.... even if it was just take out I still loved every bite of it!! Yummy!!!
So Sunday was baby shower day!! Yah!! I was excited from the moment I got up. It was almost as if I had never had a baby shower before because I knew that all of the "pink" would be brand new to me!! And boy was I right!!!
To start off with, the cake was just beautiful AND delicious thanks to Angela Culver!!! I knew what kind of design I wanted so I asked her if she could do it and BAM.... She did it. My grandma's favorite bird was a hummingbird and since I knew I wanted her to be a part of the shower I knew exactly what to do... So there were 2 hummingbirds placed on the cake in her memory.. Love you grandma!!
I also wanted a diaper cake so thanks to Angela again for the beautiful diaper cake.. It was exactly what I wanted!!
Before I opened any presents, I let the boys open their present from their sister for being such great BIG BROTHERS!! It was a great idea because it kept them busy the whole time!!! Evan even walked up to my belly and said, "Thank you Olivia for my present!!" He is such a sweet boy.. Landon on the other hand just ran into the other room ready to play with his new Cars 2 Race Track....
Presents, presents, and more presents..... Olivia got so many goodies that even I was in awe of just how much she got. I couldn't believe my eyes when Aaron was loading up both cars... We were all like sardines on the ride back home..
I do have to say though that my two favorites were...
1- Olivia's handmade blankets and tag blanket that my grandma Maloney made. There is just something about handmade things that make you appreciate them so much more. Little Olivia will always have those blankets knowing that her great grandma took the time to make them especially for her... so thank you grandma!! We appreciate them and you more than you know!!
2- Olivia will be my little diva child because she now has her own spa bath tub... Yes, I said it right.. SPA bathtub.. It actually shoots out little bubbles for her... When I saw this at Babies R Us it was one of those things that I couldn't help but scan as I walked past it.. It didn't matter if I didn't get it (well maybe it did) but just knowing that she could have her own little spa made me giggle... and it still does!! Thank you aunt Ronda, uncle Jon, and Rebecca for Olivia's spa and goodies to go along with it!!
We also played two games... The first was where everyone got a clothes pin when they arrived and if they were caught saying the word "cute" they got their clothes pin taken away.. Whoever had the most clothes pins at the end of the shower won!! Rebecca Sweet, my cousin won!!!
The second game was where everyone tore off a piece of a party streamer paper to the size that they thought my stomach was wrapped around.... For some reason 95% of the people tore off a piece TOO BIG!!!!!!!! Not happy about that one.. hehe!!! My little cousin Aubrey was the winner!!! What a smart little girl she is!!
I LOVED every single other gift whether it was diapers, wipes, pajamas, gift cards, blankets, bottles, precsious moments, etc... Every one of you that took the time to make it to the shower or send a gift made my day (Olivia's too!!)
I can't say Thank You enough... I truly am blessed to have such great family and friends!!
A really big thank you to my mommy and grandma for hosting the shower!! Everything was beautiful and I could not have asked for anything better!! It was a day that I will never forget.. I love you both very much!!
At the end of the shower we let Evan and Landon take the balloons outside, make a wish for their sister, and then release them... Whether they actually made a wish for her I will never know... but it was cute in theory...
For those of you who know me, you know I can be OCD about certain things... and yes, it also probably has to do with the fact that I am getting into the nesting stage, but once we got home around 10:00 Sunday night, I couldn't go to sleep until all of her things were put away. So I stayed up until 1 a.m making sure all of her goodies were in the right place... and I have to say that I am getting really excited about my little girls arrival in a few short weeks!!

To make the day even sweeter, my mom informed me that when she was outside on the back porch during the shower, there was a hummingbird that was flying around. I just know that it was my grandma's way of letting me know that she was there..... AND to make it even more memorable when I went to Target yesterday to pick up Thank You notes to write out I came across these really cute ones that had ladybugs on them. For some reason I just kept looking at them but didn't want to buy them because they were a little expensive... Needless to say I bought them anyway because they were cute and they also reminded me of my grandma.. When I got home and opened the box, my mouth dropped... Little did I know that this particular brand of note cards (Papyrus) is known for something special.... As I looked through the stack of cards, I came across some seals to put on the back of the envelopes.. I didn't even know they came with seals.. but as I looked closely, tears started forming in my eyes because on the seals there are hummingbirds... As a matter of fact, there are also hummingbirds on the back of the thank you card and on the back of the envelope. Just another little reminder that my grandma was with me....Even though I missed her dearly at my shower, I can now smile big knowing that she was there all along!!
Enjoy the pictures from my shower.. It was a day to remember!!

32 weeks.....

Blah!!! That's how I feel today.....not all giddy like I was last week at the thought of how wonderful my weekend was going to go... Nope... I'm not giddy at all...... Maybe it's because I dropped my mom off at the airport yesterday and realized that she may not be here for the birth of her grandaughter like she was for her two grandsons. Or it could be because my house was spotless yesterday afternoon and now it looks like Cars 2 has puked everywhere in my house. Or it could be because Olivia has her head stuck in my left rib cage and her feet stuck in my right rib cage leaving me to constantly pant like a dog in hopes of getting a good breath. Or it could be because it is naptime in my house and yet I have gone upstairs 7 times (I'm not exaggerating) in the past 25 minutes threatening the life out of a two year old if he ever so dares to open his damn door again. Or it could be because I have stepped on those cars 2 toys numerous times walking up and down those stairs in the past 25 minutes. Or it could be because I get a constant sharp pain in my right leg that leaves me begging for God's mercy on the floor panting like a dog because not only can I not breath from Olivia or going up and down stairs for the past half hour but now I also want to chop off my right leg..... Or maybe it's because I get heartburn every day, several times a day even when I haven't eaten anything in the past few hours..... Or maybe it could just be that I am 32 weeks 1 day pregnant and I'm hormonal as hell and I just want to be comfortable laying in my bed wrapped in my blankets laying on my stomach.....but instead I'm picking up toys, cutting out coupons, and writing thank you notes all while still in my pajamas with my teeth still not brushed and it is going on 2:30 in the afternoon!!!!
If that gives you any indication of how my day is going you probably already know that I'm just over this day...... I'm ready for it to be tomorrow!!!

In Olivia news, I am up half a pound from last Monday.... whatever....
She is still breach. I can now feel what body part is what thanks to the doctor explaining to me what to look and feel for....
I have been putting things away for the past two days from her baby shower.... I will put that in a happy post tonight!!!!

She weighs in right at 4 pounds this week and is almost 17 inches long.... trust me.. I feel every inch of those 17 inches all the time!!!!

Here are some pictures from me at 32 weeks 0 days yesterday!!! Have a good week everyone!!!

Craving of the week!!!!

You know it's a craving when.......

1. You wouldn't be caught dead eating it not pregnant because of the fat and calorie intake.
2. You normally can't stand the topping....
3. You griped at your husband the first 6 years you were together for eating this WAY too much..
4. You normally are a wuss and ask for mild but now you want it HOT!! (Wow... that kind of sounded perverted.....)
5. You have been eating this at 10:00 PM when you know you shouldn't eat 4 hours before you go to bed.... oops!!
6. Your mouth waters at the thought of your husband making them for you.... because this is the ONE thing he is an expert at making....
7. You walk 3 miles on the days you crave them just so the fat content doesn't stick to your thighs or ass....

So happy cravings everyone and thank you hubby for making me nachos and cheese..... (with guacamole and hot sauce on the side...)

31 week appointment!!

Oh my goodness... Well today was appointment day and my hopes of her being head down were shot down. Last week when we had our 4d ultrasound she was pretty much in the head down position so I just assumed that she would stay that way..... but oh no!! Little miss must like freaking me out because not only is she breach but her head is laying on my left set of ribs and her feet are on my right set of ribs....which probably explains why I can never breath and why I'm not hungry... I have NO room to do either!!!!
My mom is in town!! Yah!! So she was able to go to the appointment with Aaron and I this morning. The ultrasound wasn't as good as we hoped for because she is breach and facing down... We couldn't get a face shot but we did see all of her hair again!! Hehe!!!
She is measuring right on schedule length wise and she weighed in at 3 lbs 14 oz today and about 16.5 inches long....

Her heartrate was 141
My blood pressure was 137/74.. the top number is a little high but nothing to be concerned about and the bottom number is perfect.
I have gained 0.5 pounds in 3 weeks putting us at 16 pounds so far.... not that bad...

I go back in 2 weeks and at that appointment the doctor will feel if she is still breach. If so, we will schedule another ultrasound at my 36 week appointment and then I wil go to the hospital for a procedure called version. It is where they try and turn the baby around. I have to be at the hospital for this just in case something were to go wrong and they needed to get her out. I have heard that this procedure is a little painful but I'm willing to do it if it means there is a chance I don't have to have a c-section. I may sound like a wuss but I have never had a surgery and I don't plan on starting now. I would rather be in miserable labor pains than be cut open and have the long recovery time from a c-section.... especially with two boys at home and a flight of 15 stairs to walk... (all bedrooms are upstairs)
So please pray that my willful daughter decides to be head down within the next two weeks..... these next few weeks are crucial because the bigger she gets, the bigger I get, and the less room she has to turn!!

On a happier note, today is my 5 year anniversary and I couldn't be happier. I have a husband who loves me to pieces, who adores our two little boys, who is wrapped by his daughter already, and who is just as excited to spend the rest of his life with me as I am with him!! Together we make a great team and I couldn't imagine my life without him... I love you Aaron and can't wait to spend the next 50+ years as your wife!!! Now hurry your ass home so we can go out!!! Hehe!

My baby shower is also in 2 days!!! Yah!! I'm soooo excited!!! Bring on the pink!!!

31 weeks!!!!

What a week..... which probably explains why I'm writing this three days late... Monday put us at 31 weeks and what a week it has been...
We went to the pool all day Monday, I had a hair appointment on Tuesday (for the first time in over 6 months...), yesterday I went and got a mani/pedi, and today we are picking grammy and pawpaw up at the airport so although it has been a busy week, it has been pretty nice.
Little Olivia does nothing but move all the time. I'm not sure if it is from the way she is laying but I'm out of breath all the time. I feel like I can't catch my breath when I sit up straight so I'm constantly laying around like a pretzel.
I've also been feeling icky for the past 2 weeks leaving me with not much of an appetite. I'm not sure what that's all about. It doesn't feel like morning sickness or anything, I just feel a little out of it.
I am down a pound this week probably because of this icky feeling... that puts us at 15 pounds.
I've also been getting a bad cramping sensation in my right leg almost every day and it really hurts... It comes at the most random times so I'm sure I look like I'm about to go into cardiac arrest when it happens.... and indegestion... good grief... I thought I had it bad with Landon.... nope!! This little girl gives me indegestion at ALL hours of the day EVERY day!!! Atleast I know she has a head full of hair... maybe that will make the next 8 weeks a little more tolerable!!
We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow EARLY and they will do an ultrasound to make sure she is moving to the head down position and to check my fluid levels since my history of pregnancy isn't too good towards the end... hopefully everything will turn out fine and little miss will get an A+!!!!
We also have our baby shower this weekend and I'm SO excited!!!! I'm so ready to see pink, pink, pink!!! I'm sure I will have lots of pictures to post next week so YAH!!!
I have to admit though that I'm quite sad too. This is the first big event that my grandma won't be at. She was always the first one there with tons of presents wrapped perfectly and she would ALWAYS talk to my tummy. I miss her dearly and wish she was going to be there.... LOVE you grandma!!!!

Here are a few pictures from this week... I was 31 weeks 0 days...and don't mind the pj's and no makeup.. we had been at the pool all day so I wasn't about to take a shower and put makeup on for a measily picture.....

Say CHEESE Olivia!!

Well Friday we had our 4d ultrasound and I have to tell you that I almost lost sleep over this because I was so excited to see what our little girl looked like. I have never had one before because my first two pregnancies were such high risk that I had regular ultrasounds numerous times. This go around I have only had 3 ultrasounds (one because of the technician's fault) and I have another one scheduled for this coming Friday. Other than that I don't believe I will have anymore this pregnancy. We also figured that if we were going to do a 4d ultrasound now would be the time because we aren't having anymore children. It is a little bittersweet for me because this pregnancy has been so wonderful but I am also looking forward to having our family complete.

It was Aaron, myself, Evan, Landon, and my mother in law at the ultrasound. I was a little nervous about the boys being entertained for 30 minutes but thank goodness they had toys in the room that kept them occupied for the most part... Evan looked up at the screen on the wall at one point and said, "Daddy, Olivia looks like yellow jello.." Oh the imagination and thought process of a 4 year old. It is something I will never forget. He is such a precious child!

Wow is all I can say about our 4d ultrasound experience. I was and still am amazed at just how clear the pictures were and at how much detail we could make out in her facial features. From the pictures she looks like a girly version of Landon. She has full lips (like her mommy) and from what the technician said she also has a head full of hair already. She actually chuckled when she saw how much hair Olivia had because it just kept floating back and forth in the amniotic fluid.... so it looks like I can go buy lots and lots of bows for my little girl!! Yah!!

We were able to capture some pretty good shots of our little girl. She smiled at us a few times, she seemed to laugh once or twice, and she even pouted when I jiggled my tummy around to try and get her to wake up. She also posed for us with her face across her shoulders. She is such a little diva already!!

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound. I will hopefully post more this week once I get my picture cd in the mail- they had to mail me a new one because the one they gave me didn't upload all the way.....

Enjoy these beautiful pictures of my precious little girl!!

Craving of the week!!

Smack, Crackle, Pop!!!! Those are the sounds that I have loathed to hear all week long. It all started when I took the boys to the grocery store with me a little over a week ago to do our weekly shopping trip... When we went down this particular aisle Evan said,"Mommy, I want this." At first I said no, we don't need that..... but then Olivia said, "Yes Mommy, we do need this" so I placed not one box but TWO family size boxes of this in the buggy...
Since I'm not a breakfast person I tend to eat this between 12-2 p.m. and it is such a delightful little treat... I am figuring out different ways to eat these and I must say if you google recipes with this in it, you will be surprised at all of the things you can make with it...
So thank you Rice Krispies for making my craving this week so delicious!!

30 weeks!!

Sorry this blog is a little late but I've been BUSY this week... We are actually 30 weeks 3 days today so here we go!!

Stretched!!!! If there is one word I could use to describe how I feel this week that is it..... I feel like my body is playing tug of war against itself and quite frankly I'm over it!!! I haven't been uncomfy until this week for the most part so I'm sure the next 9 weeks will be quite the task for me.....

However, I will say that I'm not miserable from the heat.... YET!! So many people have come up to me saying.... Bless your heart.. You must be miserable from the heat... or.... You just picked the wrong time to be pregnant didn't you???
Maybe its because I would rather be burning up than be freezing cold year round or it could be the fact that we go to the pool almost every day so I can float like a whale for a few hours but I'm really enjoying being pregnant in the summer A LOT more than I did being pregnant in the winter with both boys...
This go around I can just put a sundress or a tank top and shorts on and slip into my rainbows compared to having to layer in pants, socks, tank top, long sleeve shirt, jacket, and boots..... now that made me hot..... I hated every bit of layering in clothes on a daily basis....

Another plus to being prego in the summer is that the tanner you are the thinner you look.... hehe!!! Which is why I plan to be a different ethnicity by the time Summer is over!!!! Heck.... little Olivia will probably come out with summer blonde hair and a tan complexion!!!

This week there was no weight gain so we are still hanging out at the 16 pound mark.....although I KNOW for a fact that my belly has grown!

We also have our 4d ultrasound tomorrow and I'm so excited!! I've never had one before so I don't really know what to expect.. I will be sure to blog about that tomorrow!!! I'm hoping to see hair and full lips!!!!

Little Miss is right around 15 1/2 inches long and still somewhere around the 3 pound mark... Her eyes are now open in the womb and from the way she is kicking I believe she is still sideways....

Olivia also got her first set of presents in the mail this week... I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of these gifts because I knew they would be just precious but they exceeded my expectations for sure!! My grandma Janet has a talent for sure in decorating so she found the perfect touches for Olivia's room. She made her the cushion for her rocking chair, a throw pillow, a lamp shade, a lamp cord cover, redid the base of the lamp, and made 3 chandelier shade covers..... and they all match her room perfectly!!!! The room is truly coming together for a little princess and I'm so excited!! Thank you Grandma Janet!!! All of these goodies just has me so much more excited for my baby shower next weekend.... I'm SO ready to see pinks and purples because all I've known for FOUR years is BLUE!!!

Here are a few pictures from this week..... the first two are me at 30 weeks 0 days...

The next one is at 30 weeks 2 days when she curled up really tight at the top of my belly...

Then the following three are Olivia's first presents that came in the mail from Grandma Janet... aren't they just BEAUTIFUL!!!
